Safety Mantra · Safety Vests and Hardhats will be worn by ALL personnel, on all job sites. · Proper attire including long pants and shirts with no less than a minimum of 4” sleeves, gloves, glasses and boots shall be worn on ALL jobsites. · Hard soled shoes or boots are required – NO TENNIS SHOES. · Eye protection to be worn at any time a power tool is being used, whether electric or pneumatic. Ear and respiratory protection along with gloves shall be worn when required by MSDS or warranted by conditions. · No radios, headphones, tape or CD players allowed on site. Cell phone usage shall be restricted to on-site supervisory personnel only. · Only authorized and trained employees will operate equipment. Forklift operators are to be trained and certified as required by OSHA standards before operating. · All operators will inspect all equipment before operating, with all equipment having functioning backup alarms and seatbelts. · Under NO circumstances is an operator allowed to talk on a cell phone while operating any construction equipment. · No one is to ride as a passenger on machinery or equipment. · All operators of trucks shall use seat belts at all times. Drivers shall use personal discretion when operating all types of trucks and talking on the phone while vehicle is in motion. If the situation warrants, drivers shall immediately cease all phone operations until the situation is safe for use. · All riders in trucks shall be seated in designed seats, with NO ONE to ride in back of any truck not designed to carry passengers. · No one is to enter into any trench or excavation without proper training in the recognition of hazards associated with trenches and excavations. · Use and/or possession of intoxicants, alcohol or drugs, on company property and jobsite is strictly prohibited. · Theft of company property, including but not limited to, tools, equipment and materials, is prohibited and will result in immediate termination, as well as possible criminal charges.
K2 Construction is committed to the safety and welfare of its employees, clients, engineers and the public at large. It is our opinion that no task is more important then the health and well-being of our employees or anyone that may come into contact with one of our jobsites. Every aspect of every project can be done in a safe manner and K2 Construction will not decrease safety measures in order to increase ease of installation.
