K2 Construction's first venture into the world of geothermal heating and cooling systems comes with the Pyrtle Elementary School remodel project. This project is one of many retrofit improvements to facility mechanical systems being pursued by Lincoln Public Schools. Their commitment to enviornmentally friendly systems, coupled with the increased efficiency, makes geothermal a logical choice for their heating and cooling needs.

The well-field consists of 13 circuits with 9 wells on each circuit, for a total of 117 wells. At a depth of 305 feet each, there are over 35,000 lineal feet of geothermal wells in this well field.
